What was the highlight of K Hotel Tianjin

Perfect for a short stay on business or fun

Hotel staff spoke English alright and were extremely helpful and accommodating. Room was a good size for one person; perfect for a short business trip - small closet had about 5 hangers. The location is excellent; sort of right in the middle between the fancy area to the east and old town to the west; very close to a nice park and government buildings area. Absolutely everything one would need is within walking distance including lots of really good Japanese restaurants (I also opted for the 24hr laundry down the way which only takes an hour instead of using the hotel service). Bed was pretty comfortable and I slept well - little on the hard side. TV had Netflix. Balcony was a big plus. Excellent Wifi. I didn't try breakfast. I would definitely stay again.

The carpet in my room, at least, could be replaced. Probably the chair, too. The water pressure in the shower was a bit low, but I like it super strong. More tea options in the room would be nice (only had oolong, black and jasmine). I couldn't figure out how to get the heat going, but I just turned off the AC thing and was ok (Mid-January trip).

15-20min walk from Taipei Main Station. Looks newly renovated. Friendly staffs. No street noise as hotel is not located on the main road. clean, adequate hot shower with good pressure.

Exceptional

The hotel staff, including counter staff, cleaners and waitresses, were very polite and helpful in all aspects. While the lift service was suspended, a staff member helped us to carry heavy luggage from the 6th floor to the lobby, along the stairs. The room was very clean. The cleaner tidied the room every day during my stay for 6 days, which made us feel happy while coming back from outside. The high-speed WiFi, washing machine and dryer, coffee, and snacks were 24 hours provided and free of charge , which were the other merit.

A 3-star hotel with 4-star service

I've booked 2 rooms and hence the reviews are the same with the other room. Just that this room comes with a sofa and coffee table which is conducive for in room dining.

There isn't a proper wardrobe but just a small area with hangers to air the clothes and towels. There is a balcony but not much utilized and seem more suitable for smokers who want to step out for a puff.

Pleasant stay with access to food, shopping within walking distance, yet away from the bustling

# The room was clean, and nicely made every day. # The air-con was silent and temperature was comfortable. # Shower and hot bath were excellent. # The room size was comfortable. Breakfast porridge was good. # Location of hotel was on a quiet street and about 10 mins (navigation and traffic) walk to Zhongshan MRT which had a lot of shopping and food options. Hotel was close to 7-11 and Quan Lian supermarket. # Hotel is located within walking distance to Shandao Temple (9min walk to Blue MRT line), Zhongshan (9min walk to Green and Red MRT line) and Taipei Main (8min walk to Red and Blue MRT line) # The hotel staff were very thoughtful and provided takeaway breakfast for us on our last day as we had to check out really early at 6am. # Central location a short walk to the 3 MRT stations but we relied mainly on Zhongshan MRT, with its shopping malls and many food options. # Friendly and helpful staff (concierge) who provided assistance and called their local metered cab to bring us to the night market on our first night when we checked in at 9pm. Staff at breakfast and housekeeping are equally helpful too.

# There is no holder or hook in the bathroom to hang a towel for drying # Sound proofing could be improved as we could hear conversation and laughter from the next room till 2am. Walking along the hallway to the lift, we can hear talking and laughing from another room. # The carpet was stained and looked worn and dirty # Even though the hotel is located near 3 MRT stations (Zhongshan, Taipei Main and Shandao Temple) but each required approximately 10mins walking. Will be wet from heavy rain even with umbrella.

the location is okay because it's just walking distance from taipei main station, it's better if you get off at taipei main, then you just exit at Y1, or R1, because it's a long walk if you go to mrt Shandao Temple. The buffet breakfast is delicious

you can hear the noise outside, that's the only thing that's not okay

Good location, kind staff

The staff was super helpful and solved both of my asks - upgrading from a single room to a double room since I ended up traveling with my partner and issuing an invoice. The staff spoke good English, the room was super spacious and the breakfast was good.

The only tiny problem was the AC control panel light being quite bright and not switching off during the night, so that was a bit of a bother, but otherwise everything was as expected and overall a great value for money.

Superb

The staff was extremely professional and well trained. Every time I passed by the lobby, the staff greets me and when I was back from outside, they welcomed me warmly. I think the staff is the heart of this hotel. The breakfast was also delicious and the dishes changed everyday. It’s more toward Japanese and Chinese cuisine, so less options for western style tastes.

The single room is relatively small, although it does have everything it should have, but it would be nicer if there is a door between the bathroom and the bedroom since they are directly next to each other. It’s more hygienic.
